A privately owned, not-for-profit, no-kill animal shelter.

Joey's Feline Friends

Since our inception, we have rescued over 3,500 furry companions, and continue to find homes for approximately 300 cats each year. Our shelter operations runs solely on the dedication and efforts of our volunteer staff. Devote an afternoon or an entire day at our shelter and see first-hand the animals that we help daily.

Over 11,000 cats are euthanized each year on Oahu alone.

For almost two decades, Joey’s Feline Friends has devoted itself to saving, rehabilitating, and finding adoptive homes for Hawaii's homeless, abused, & physically challenged animals.

Meet Lila and Ballerina

Eleven years ago, Ballerina (Siamese) found her forever home through JFF and was soon joined by the lovely Lila, who was also a rescue kitty. After the passing of their beloved owner, these two girls found themselves in search of a new forever family; one that they can create more memories with.

in the spotlight

On September 2, our dear friend and JFF supporter Bob Ristelhueber, lost his beloved companion Harley in a sudden and unexpected passing. In honoring Harley's life, and the many years of their unconditional love and laughter shared, Bob has generously sponsored a matching-funds drive to helps those who are less fortunate. Through the month of September, your donations will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $2,000. Join Bob in his tribute to Harley in support of our shelter's rescues and efforts in saving lives. Matching Donation Drive

Our sanctuary needs your help immediately. Each day, JFF gives homeless pets a second chance. Your generous support helps provide resources that make an immediate impact to the lives of animals which otherwise would be killed. Basic shelter supplies, medical expert care, and overhead costs, are critical to our ability to function. Make your contribution now.

This year's Matching Gift Campaign sponsored by Foodland kicks off on Thursday, September 1.
